Apple Dumpling Bake

Apple Dumpling Bake

These mini pies are so good and simple to make. An unusual ingredient makes these one of my kids' favorite desserts.

  • 1 8-oz tube crescent rolls
  • 1 Granny Smith apple peeled and cored
  • ½ c. granulated sugar
  • ¼ c. unsalted butter melted
  • ½ c. Mountain Dew soda
  • dash cinnamon

  • Unroll crescent roll and separate dough into 8 triangles. Cut apple into 8 wedges. Wrap a crescent roll triangle around each apple wedge. Place in a greased baking dish. In a bowl, combine sugar and butter and sprinkle evenly over the rolls. Slowly pour the soda around the rolls, but do not stir. Sprinkle rolls with cinnamon. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Serve warm. Great with ice cream.
